نتایج این تلاش جدید که در مجله نیچر به چاپ رسیده، نحوه عملکرد این روش را چنین توضیح می دهد: با نصب یک حسگر در مغز بیمار فلج، امکان انتقال فرمان های مغز به روبات-آرنج میسر می شود و فرد می تواند با اتخاذ تصمیم در مغز آرنج مصنوعی اما هوشمند خود را حرکت دهد.
